Ieri ho ricevuto un pacco pieno d'amore dalla mia cara Sue. Non ero a casa quando il corriere è arrivato. Ho trovato la sua nota di mancata consegna nella cassetta della posta con il suo numero di cellulare e l'indicazione di chiamarlo entro una certa ora del pomeriggio. Per una volta ho trovato un ragazzo gentile che è tornato a consegnarmi il pacco anche se la mia chiamata era arrivata fuori orario limite. Il pacco era pesante e, piena di curiosità, l'ho svuotato immediatamente. Sono rimasta senza parole e con le lacrime agli occhi nel vedere tutto ciò che era contenuto. Siete curiosi? Allora ecco cosa è arrivato ieri dagli Stati Uniti!
Yesterday I received a box full of love from my dear Sue, my AM and she knows what I mean! I was not at home when the courier arrived with the package. I found his note in my mail box with his phone number to call him within a certain time in the afternoon. For once I found a friendly guy who came back to deliver me the package! The box was heavy and I slowly browsed through all the goodies. I was speechless and with tears in my eyes because everything was really meant to me and my Andrea with love. Are you curious to see?  Well, let's go.

Un'altra delle mie passioni sono gli articoli realizzati da Mary Engelbreit, una fantastica disegnatrice americana. In ogni pacco di Sue c'è sempre qualcosa di ME, questa volta, oltre a ben due lavagnette cancellabili magnetiche, una da aggiungere alla collezione di magneti che ho sul frigo, l' altra da appendere qui nel mio studio,  e ad un pacchetto di post-it, c'era anche un meraviglioso libro di ricette di biscotti. Guardate quanto è bello!

Another of my passions is  Mary Engelbreit, a great American designer. In each pack that Sue send me there is always something of ME. This time as well as two magnetic dry erase boards, one to add to my magnet collection on my refrigerator, the other to hang here in my studio, and a package of 3 different sticky pads, there was a wonderful  book of cookies recipes. Look at these  amazing pics!

Mes petits fours

Questa settimana mi sono dedicata, tra le varie attività, a preparare pasticcini. Non ho usato come ingredienti farina, zucchero, uova, ecc... bensì colori e pennelli per dar vita a una serie di bottoni che alla fine sono diventati dei deliziosi dolcetti.

Perfetti con una tazza di thé, sono sempre privi di calorie!

This week I have dedicated myself, among other activities, to make small desserts. I did not use ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, etc. ... but paints and brushes to create a series of buttons that are now delicious pastries!Perfect with a cup of tea, always fat free!

PAINTED STITCHERY & GIVEAWAY

Questo è l'ultima lezione preparata per i miei studenti del corso di pittura su stoffa che tengo all'Uni3. Una tovaglietta con girasoli. Di per sé non mi diceva molto, così, pensa che ti ripensa, con mia sorella abbiamo deciso di fare un stitchery. Cioè, io ho buttato lì l'idea e lei l'ha realizzata! Ecco, è nata  una tovaglietta a "painted stitchery". L'effetto finale ci soddisfa molto, però vediamo che manca ancora qualcosa: una giusta cornice per valorizzare di più il lavoro. Ora cerchiamo le stoffe adatte!

This is the last fabric painting lesson for my students at the Senior University. A placemat with sunflowers. Not in itself told me so much, so, my sister and I decided to create a stitchery. I mean, I tossed out the idea and she has made it! And here we have a painted stitchery placemat. The final effect satisfies us, but we see that it lacks of something: the perfect frame to enhance the work. Now we are looking for the right fabrics!

E' perfetta anche per lo scrapbooking, per decorare biglietti, oggetti in carta ...

She is perfect also as embellishment for scrapbooking and paper crafts ...

E' solo questione di fantasia!

5 :: il boschetto dietro casa abitato da elfi e da piccoli animali

6 :: essere ispirata da tutto il fantastico mondo blog e aver conosciuto, attraverso esso, tante care persone

7 :: Provenza e New England

8 :: stare accoccolata sulla poltrona, con il camino acceso, un libro in mano ed una tazza di caffè americano (vedi n.10!)

9 :: i colori e i profumi dell'autunno

10:: il caffè, la torta al cioccolato, la pizza e pane & salame... lo so, lo so sono quattro cose e dovrei vergognarmi per la mia golosità!

1 :: my son, above everyone and everything
2 :: the complicity between my sister and me
3 :: my two dogs Nina and Menta, my coworkers, always under my desk
4 :: imagine + create + draw + paint (as if it were one)
5 :: the grove behind my house, full of elfs and small animals
6 :: be inspired by all the amazing world of blogs and have met, through it, so many nice people
7 :: Provence and New England
8 :: to be huddle up on my chair, in front of the fireplace with a book and a cup of american coffee (see #10!)
9 :: fall colors and scents
10:: coffee, chocolate cake, pizza, sandwich with italian salame. I know, I know, they are 4 things and I should be ashamed for my hopeless food addiction!

There are many others, but these, both serious and humorous, are those which represent me at this time.
I virtually give this gift to all those who wish tell us something of their lives. Enjoy!
