If I do not consider special occasions and holidays, I make desserts when, for some reason, I can not work in the studio, when someone is unwell and I think that a cake can be a cuddle more, when I’m tired, restless and nervous. Today all these three options were mixed together. For almost 10 days Andrea has not having babysitter (grandparents) and I can not work because I'm with him all day long. The old man of the house has got the flu and is in bed. I am very tired, restless and nervous. So, it is cake time! I have prepared a loaf shape cake with a heart of chocolate. These are the ingredients:
3 small eggs or 2 large
90 gr. (3 oz.) unsalted butter softened
150 gr. (5 oz.) sugar

60 gr. (2 oz.) corn starch
320 gr. (17 oz.) all-purpose flour
90 gr. (3 oz.) milk
½ oz. baking powder

1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon bitter cocoa
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Beat butter, sugar and a pinch of salt with an electric mixer until very pale and fluffy. Add one egg at the time, keeping beating, never adding the other egg if the mixture has not yet absorbed the previous one. At lower speed mix in milk, flour, starch and baking powder until a smooth dough forms. Line a medium size loaf pan with parchment and place about half dough. In the remaining half add a spoonful of bitter cocoa stirring until all the dough is colored. With the tip of a spoon make a furrow in the middle of white dough for the entire length of the pan and place the remaining cocoa dough . Bake for 45 minutes. Once again, combined with my cake there is my American coffee with milk. Today, for the first time in a long time, it was a sunny day so I have choosen a garden themed mug. Wishing spring would hurry up and get here soon!

Eli, ora capisco..e tu sai a cosa mi riferisco.
baciotto
